Author feedback
Very well done on getting things organized quickly.
Graham Phipps, Herefordshire
Thank you for getting the proofs to me so promptly. Your email and attachments arrived this morning when I was with my Mum at the home. I couldn't resist having a quick look and within a few minutes I was surrounded by several inquisitive 'inmates' wanting to know what I was looking at. We had an impromptu poetry reading and pleased to say those present seemed to appreciate my sense of humour! I think the book cover is wonderful. It would certainly attract me to the book. Many thanks for all your help and encouragement, I can't wait to see the finished product of which I am very proud. I would just like to thank you once again for your help and guidance, it is very much appreciated. It occurred to me this afternoon that it was one year ago almost to the day that The Office Diaries was published. Who would have thought that, one year on, my third book would be released. I am delighted. I look forward to continuing this wonderful journey with you...... Many thanks again for making all this possible. In the meantime I see that more challenges have appeared!
Garry Davidson, Chile

Do all your authors feel like I do? Over the moon! Thank you for all the work you put into publishing Tide Wrack for me. I am delighted with it. I won’t deny reading my own poetry gives me great pleasure. When in the village post office I folded a New Blackmore Vale. Magazine open at my page and propped it up - with permission - where it could be read while customers waited to be served!
Mary Buchan, Dorset
Thanks for everything you've done so far Tim. It's impressive! Working with you has been like taking a comfortable journey with a trusted friend. Without you guiding me along the entire journey, being a published author would remain a distant ambition. To say thank you sounds wholly inadequate. Well, after a prolonged agonising wait as my book didn't arrive until today, I'm delighted!!! I'm so impressed with the quality - weight of pages, cover image etc. All in all am a very, very satisfied customer! Thanks again Tim. Thanks so much Tim.

Absolutely fantastic Tim. I needed a catalyst and you appeared. How fortuitous. What can I say? It is absolutely superb. Many many thanks for your very sensible and highly creative skills in producing a fabulous book of my life. It was a sheer joy in working with such an intuitive person. Many thanks for allowing me to realise my dream... I came back from walking the dog along the prom to find a parcel waiting for me. The hard copy has arrived – absolutely fantastic. You have done a wonderful job – I can’t thank you enough. I have just had a phone call from my brother-in-law, Neil. He is a Scottish poet and runs creative writing courses. He is going to write its praises for me. He said that he became so engrossed in reading the book, his cup of tea went cold. Neil added that that was praise indeed that the book caught his imagination so much he could not put it down.
Don McNeil, Scotland
Cover and proofs look fab. Both hardback and paperback copies have arrived. I am really impressed with the quality of the printing and the overall look of both formats. Many thanks.

What I really enjoy in what you are doing is reading other people's work, content, learning about places, lives, concerns and different styles of writing that have influenced my own way of expressing myself. I do thank you for giving us this opportunity. A friend has called to say how she had enjoyed my little book, reading some words from my heart. Then I received an email from the Chair of the Friends of Chichester Hospitals (with an apology for the delay) saying that various folk, including volunteers in the shop, have read "this delightful collection of poems" and would be very happy to sell them in the hospital shop, all profits going to The Friends.Thank you so much Tim. From a very happy Margaret.

This is very exciting, thanks Tim. I am enjoying working with you on this. Thank you for the lovely foreword. We received our first book today and are thrilled with it. I'm absolutely over the moon. It's laid out beautifully and easy to read. I can't believe it all happened so quickly. My friends are calling me a dark horse because I didn't even have time to tell them. Now I have a hard copy I can get out and promote at book shops etc. Thank you again. What a champion you are.

I can really see a place for a smaller scale publisher like yourself. In my view, the big publishers are just gatekeepers it seems, denying people the freedom to publish, to be read and to read! The 'status' they confer may be something authors crave, but many of us just want an outlet!

You could not have known that I took Hong Kong to Seville where I ran the marathon a week ago today. When I read your book at night it eased the tension of the race that was looming.
I just wanted you to know how much I thoroughly enjoyed your book, it was charming and a delight to read. You are a great story teller, and it was as if you were telling them to me. I could hear your voice.

I submitted a Flash Fiction entry entitled 'Missing Body' which I was delighted to have published within The Paul Cave Prize for Literature 2023 Short Stories, Flash Fiction and Poetry Anthology. The opportunities that you provide to emerging writers are invaluable. Thank you so much for your support.
Em Coombes, Merseyside
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. It's wonderful to have a prompt and a place for flash fiction to sit. I appreciate your site, especially since you're providing plenty of opportunities for writers to hone their craft and see what others are up to too.

I have received my copy of your splendid Christmas and Easter anthology. Reading through it, I am well impressed, as it is a lovely, intimate and a well compiled representation of what Christmas and Easter mean to us all, especially those of us who are of a Christian persuasion.
Philip Dawson-Hammond, Yorkshire
I had decided to give writing a break as I have had other things to do: prepare paintings for a village craft show, also an embroidery wall hanging, draw and paint a dozen birthday cards for the family over the next three months. I must prepare myself for my 90th birthday in August not to mention house, home and aged husband and a continual stream of medical appointments. Being old isn't fun. The trouble is your prompts are like an itch, which has to be scratched or worked upon. As you will see, you won.
Mary Buchan, Dorset
When a submission was accepted for publication:
I really appreciate the support you give to me and many others for sure. I started my morning with the delight of seeing the Warring Sisters on your website. It fills my heart with joy. Thank you.

It's been fun, enjoyable and a challenge to try and get my poems and stories into the various anthologies. I must have over 18 of them by now and it's great to dip into them or re-read them now and again. I have quite a library of your books by now! Thanks for all the hard work you have done in publishing them so quickly. Each one is different and it's good we can help out with raising funds for disasters in countries less fortunate than us. Just grateful we don't experience earthquakes!

My Christmas and Easter book arrived yesterday, and what a delightful book with such an eclectic mix of poems. Thank you for including my poem. I was very pleased to see the Bible quotes at the beginning (how we need those in this broken world), and your inspiring foreword.

A year of writing prompts: 2022 to 2023
A wonderful book it really is, all credit and praise to you for the selection of art works you offered us and the freedom to respond in our own, very individual ways. It's lovely to read and re-read people's thoughts and reflections. The cover painting of Mr and Mrs Braithwaite by John Atkinson is so endearing and inviting. Thank you for your time given to us and editing a book to treasure.

Thank you to Tim Saunders Publications for accepting another short story for the latest anthology. After years of frustration with publishers/publishing, Tim is collecting work from writers worldwide and putting together an anthology every month. Very grateful.

Maryella Sirmon, Alabama, USA
You've driven a grown man to tears! Today received my paperback copy of the anthology Happiness and there I was in print.
Neil Stevenson, County Durham
Having just read Mary Buchan’s memoirs, I enjoyed them immensely.
Andrew Perry, farmer, Dorset
Happiness is happiness; I was able to give a copy to our farming family on Sunday as we joined with other natural history friends to plant a tree in memory of Madeleine and Frank in their favourite field on the farm. They had read my words beforehand as I asked them to check it and make sure that they were happy for me to give it to you for publishing. Now they will enjoy the book, chocolate cake and all!
Margaret Hughes, Sussex
Tim, my friend arrived today from the UK - with five copies of The Ireland Collection. I was so thrilled but not half as thrilled to see you mention my name in your foreword. Wow! Many many thanks.
Maurice Sherlock, Ireland
The whole book is a compelling read. I love it. You got the front cover correct for the north, too. I was really surprised and pleased you published my work. I hope to work with you in the future.
Andrew Collinson, Lancashire
I am enjoying reading your Poems for Today and The West Country Collection. Your desire to encourage people is so good, enabling memories, stories and experiences, of all sorts to be shared, lovely pictures painted and feelings to be expressed. Your personal ones touched my heart.
Margaret Hughes, Sussex
Have received my copy of the West Country Collection and for the first time read my poetry in print. Would like to take the opportunity to thank you personally for your involvement in making this happen.

Arron Williams, Hampshire
What a beautiful book! I have ordered my copy from Amazon. Thank you so much for the really lovely mention!
Maria Ellis, Hampshire
I can't believe that I am doing this Tim. I struggled with English at school - not least the teacher! I realise that I owe much to my husband, who was happiest with a pen in his hand; his antidote to work, monitoring and documenting drug clinical trials organising and writing up bird surveys in which we participated. I became his proof reader - his education in grammar school in Clapham was very thorough. I realise that what it did do for me was teach me correct English grammar, punctuation and to be concise. You have given me confidence too, thank you. You are so encouraging.
Margaret Hughes, Sussex
I appreciate your guidance a lot.
Joy Eckert, Northumberland
I am so pleased that you are looking at unpublished writers.

Many stories struck a chord with me, although they were at an earlier and more preserved period of life in HK than when I was there:
- the boat trip in your early years, when we too were traveling across the oceans on military transport ships, not as glam as yours. I could smell our boats and see the crew, and your description of the layout of the cabins etc brought it all back to me!
- typhoons and taping windows, the torrential rains and the aftermath
- the importance of amahs in our lives, although mine were Filipinas
- Lantau and Lamma Islands and junk trips
- your wonderful characters who still stand out for you, as do the ones who were a part of my life in HK
- etc etc etc

Iain Curr, Devon
Thank you for giving me the confidence by publishing some of my work in The West Country Collection and Hope for Ukraine.
Jacqueline Townsend, Dorset
Thank you so much Tim. I feel honoured and delighted to be part of The Hampshire Collection and look forward to holding my Amazon ordered copy in hand! It will be my first time in poetic print.
Dr Mark Rickenbach, Hampshire
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the stories and really appreciate that you want to publish them. It's really encouraging to know! I really appreciate these opportunities to have stories published and it really helps to give me the energy to continue pursuing my writing ambitions.
Kay Middlemiss, Wales
Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunities.
Jane Tipping, Devon
You have given me the confidence to start writing again.
